Though he had a stellar game, Jay Bildner could not prevent his team, the Boston Kings, from losing, 7-4, to the Montreal Mammoths. Bildner was 3-4 with a home run and a double. Juan Castillo got credit for the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in 6 innings. Jesse Zipperer picked up the save for Montreal, his 8th of the year.

Steve Kesner, who is tied for 7th in the IL in doubles with 8, aided the Montreal cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter was 3-5 with 3 singles.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Kesner.

The Mammoths improved to a lofty 19-8.
