| Makos Top Toltecs, 4-1, to Begin DS | The Honolulu Makos wasted no time taking the lead in the Divisional, beating the Leon Toltecs at Toltecs Field by the score of 4-1. The win gives Honolulu a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Makos right-hander Ivan Trivino threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball.
Damien Longhurst, who finished 5th in the UL in stolen bases with 25 in 2035, had a direct impact on the outcome. Longhurst contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Honolulu up, 4-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Trivino after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Thursday, August 5th , 2038.
