| Lutz Handcuffs Toltecs, Makos Seize 2-1 Advantage in DS | The Honolulu Makos moved to within one game of the Conference Championship, downing the visiting Leon Toltecs at Honolulu Stadium by a score of 12-1. Makos right-hander J.P. Lutz had a strong outing in which he threw 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Makos a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Divisional.
The Toltecs had trouble solving Lutz, who surrendered 1 run on 4 hits over 8.1 innings.
Said losing manager David Fields: "Give the Makos credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Honolulu Stadium in Honolulu.
