The Leon Toltecs got a strong performance from pitcher Angelo Pulido, who stymied the San Francisco offense en route to a 1-0 win in Game 3 of the Conference Championship. The Pioneers could never get a bead on the left-handed Pulido, who threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The Toltecs now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Ryan Fager, who finished 5th in the UL in stolen bases with 28 in 2038, had a direct impact on the outcome. Fager contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Leon up, 1-0.

"Angelo pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Leon manager David Fields.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pioneers Park in San Francisco.
