Vipers Fall Short, 2-1, at Montreal
In a tight tilt between the Montreal Mammoths and the Detroit Vipers, Dan Trevino was the deciding factor. The Montreal right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. At 27-17, the Mammoths are currently second in the Independent North Division.

The Mammoths got a big at-bat from second baseman Ludovic Chauvet. For the game, Chauvet went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Montreal a 2-1 lead.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Chauvet. "You've got to get results."
