The Montreal Mammoths locked up a win at Fury Field, knocking off the Philadelphia Fury, 5-2. On the mound for Montreal was right-hander Juan Castillo. He played a major role in the triumph. Castillo, now 8-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Jesse Zipperer earned save number 14 this season.

Ludovic Chauvet came through with a big-time hit for Montreal. The second baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Chauvet told a Montreal News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The win gives Montreal a season record of 28-19.
