Mammoths Squelch Hawks Offense in Shutout Win
Montreal turned a fine outing from starter Ed Carter into a victory over the Chicago Hawks at Mammoths Field. The final score was 6-0. Carter got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. With the win, Montreal raised its record to 30-20.

Ruben Urias, who is on pace to hit 28 home runs this season, took Chicago hurler Chris Carrell deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Mammoths on top, 2-0. In all, Urias had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager David Fields.
