| Vipers Sneak Past Robbers, 3-2 | In a tight tilt between the Detroit Vipers and the Toronto Robbers, Justin Young was the deciding factor. The Detroit left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Juan Rey, now 5-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Art Davis sewed up the save, his 12th.
Detroit used the hitting of Adam Lappin to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vipers on top, 3-2. For the game, Lappin had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"From the first pitch, Justin was ready to rock and roll," said Detroit manager David Fields.
The Vipers go to 21-29, putting them second in the Independent North Division.
