The Jacksonville Jackals defeated the Montreal Mammoths by the score of 6-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman David Dowdy. Dowdy went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Jackals on the day. The save was credited to Mike Ludwig, his 15th. Jacksonville bumps their record to 23-29 with the win.

Had Dowdy not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Dowdy hit a run-scoring single. The Jackals took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.
