| Mammoths Lose, 7-4, at Jackals Stadium | The inspired effort of Montreal catcher Ruben Urias was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-4, to the Jacksonville Jackals. Urias was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Scott Lohmann got the win, improving to 7-2. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 0. Earning his 16th save of the year was Mike Ludwig.
Camden Hodge had a big solo home run for the Jackals in the bottom of the third inning. With Jacksonville leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Val Kerr, who is tied for 10th in the IL in quality starts with 7, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Jackals on top, 4-2.
"Feels good to get the job done," Hodge said after the game.
Jacksonville goes to 24-29, Montreal to 31-22.
