| Robbers Need Extra Innings to Top Sunrays, 6-4 | The Toronto Robbers had to overcome a fine effort from Tampa Bay pitcher Jeff Bolser to win, 6-4, in 10 innings at Sunrays Field. Bolser went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner in relief was Jose Ramirez. He is now 3-2. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Toronto, with the win, climbs to 17-37.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Bill Ramos? The 26-year old shortstop Ramos stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put Toronto up, 6-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Robbers manager David Fields.
