| Mammoths Defeat Sunrays, 8-6 | It took 10 innings, but the Montreal Mammoths were able to beat the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 8-6, at Sunrays Field. Frank Centeno provided some offensive muscle for Montreal. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The last-place Sunrays have dropped 4 straight games.
Montreal used the clutch hitting of Tyler Craig to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mammoths ahead, 8-6. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Tampa Bay manager David Fields.
