| Tampa Bay Roughed Up By Mammoths | With right fielder Rich Wells leading the charge, the Montreal Mammoths defeated the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 10-3, at Sunrays Field. Wells, who is a four-time All-Star, was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. The victory gives Montreal a record of 33-24.
In the top of the first, former first round draft pick Ruben Urias hit a 3-run home run. The 17th home run of the season for the Montreal catcher put the Mammoths on top, 3-0.
