| Thompson Stellar as Hawks Coast to 12-0 Win | The home crowd had a good time watching the New York Empire and Chicago Hawks get after it.
The Chicago Hawks beat the New York Empire, 12-0. Chicago pitcher and St. Louis, Missouri, native Adam Thompson led the way. The losses continue to mount for New York, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
Thompson's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 2 hits. Thompson, who finished 5th in the UL in wins with 10 in 2032, goes to 5-5 on the year with 49 strikeouts.
"It's going to click," said New York manager David Fields. "It's just a matter of when."
