Though he had a stellar game, Evan McIndoe could not prevent his team, the Toronto Robbers, from losing, 6-4, to the Philadelphia Fury. McIndoe went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Philadelphia improves to 34-28 with the win. They lead their division by 2½ games.

The Fury got a big at-bat from left fielder Willis Mendez. For the game, Mendez went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 17th home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 5-4 lead.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Mendez said.
