The New York Empire picked up a win at Empire Ballpark, downing the Montreal Mammoths, 4-2. On the mound for New York was right-hander Juan Albidrez, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Empire have now won 4 straight.

The Empire got a big at-bat from first baseman Brandon Buchanan. For the game, Buchanan went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave New York a 2-0 lead.
