| Orange Lose at Home, 6-2 | The Montreal Mammoths beat the Orlando Orange, 6-2, at Orange Park. The win was due in part to second baseman Ludovic Chauvet, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. John Coburn earned the save for Montreal, his 1st of the year. The second-place Mammoths lifted their record to 36-32.
Chauvet had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Matthew Boardman, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Mammoths a 4-2 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Chauvet.
Said losing manager David Fields: "Give the Mammoths credit. They played a better game than we did."
