Miami turned a good effort from starter Malachi Brock into a win over the Montreal Mammoths at Mammoths Field. The Makos won the game, 6-2. The second-place Makos sport a record of 41-34.

Jason Prioleau had a big 2-run home run for the Makos in the top of the third inning. With Miami leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Nick Santiago and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Makos on top, 4-0.

"We had a nice day," said Miami skipper David Fields.
