The Montreal Mammoths converted a terrific effort from starter Val Kerr into a win over the Miami Makos at Mammoths Field. The Mammoths won the game by a final score of 5-1. Jesse Zipperer recorded his 3rd save for Montreal. Montreal, now 6-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Kerr allowed no runs over 7 innings. He also racked up 7 strikeouts.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Montreal manager David Fields.
