Mammoths Make It 4 Straight with 9-5 Win
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Francisco Vazquez, the Montreal Mammoths defeated the Orlando Orange, 9-5. Vazquez went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Mammoths. Sébastien Alexandre earned the save for Montreal, his 5th of the year. The Mammoths, now 55-46, have won 4 in a row.

David Smallman had a big 2-run home run for the Mammoths in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Montreal leading 5-4 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from Bobby Rhodes, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2039 draft, and punished it. The result was his 22nd home run of the season, which put the Mammoths on top, 7-4.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Montreal skipper David Fields.
