| Mammoths Rally Late to Nip Vipers | Montreal pitcher Ed Carter did his part in helping his team beat the Detroit Vipers, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Jesse Zipperer got the save, the 4th for him this season. The Mammoths, now 7-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.
The Mammoths got a gift in the top of the 11th inning, when they were leading 3-2. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Frank Centeno reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 1 run. It made the score 4-2, Montreal.
"Ed did a nice job," said Mammoths manager David Fields.
