The Mexico City Marauders converted a terrific effort from starter Ricardo Davalos into a win over the San Diego Luchadors at Luchadors Field. The Marauders won the game by a final score of 6-2. Davalos, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The loss drops San Diego to 5-3.

Mexico City first baseman Mario Cardenas contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Marauders ahead, 4-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Cardenas told the Mexico City Herald.
