The Leon Toltecs got a stellar effort from pitcher Joe Shipley, helping Leon score a win over the visiting Dallas Jets, 3-2. Leon pitcher Al Reyes earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Andy Urso suffered the loss. The loss puts Dallas at 3-7.

Justin Bouma made an early impact for Leon when he stroked his 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which came with two out in the bottom of the third, put the Toltecs on top, 2-0.

"This place was jumping at the end," Bouma said.
