| Twisters Lose, 6-4, at Luchadors Field | Tony Aguirre was a major contributor to the 6-4 San Diego win over Oklahoma City. The Luchadors designated hitter was 2-3 with 2 home runs. Jason Gessel, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. Jeremy Bares recorded the save for San Diego, his 2nd of the season.
Roberto Almaraz had a big 2-run home run for the Luchadors in the bottom of the sixth inning. With San Diego leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from Darrell Stinson and swatted a home run to right. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Luchadors ahead, 5-1.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Almaraz told the San Diego Daily.
The loss puts Oklahoma City at 2-8.
