| Land HR-Happy in 4-2 Win | The 4-hit performance of Kyle Land helped the Atlanta Peaches beat the Phoenix Firebirds, 4-2. Mikael Bonin earned the win for Atlanta. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 2-0. The defeat makes Phoenix 5-5.
Atlanta used a clutch at-bat from Carlos Duran to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Peaches ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Duran told the Atlanta News.
