San Diego starter Roberto Ladd put a stranglehold on the Houston offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Luchadors to a 4-0 win. Ladd picked up the win for San Diego, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. The win puts San Diego at 7-7.

It could have been a different outcome for San Diego, had it not been for Sean Ritchie, the 31-year old left fielder . Ritchie contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put San Diego up, 3-0.

"Roberto was dictating to their hitters," said San Diego manager David Fields.
