| San Francisco Loses, 7-2, in 10 | Riding the 4-hit performance of the 21-year old left fielder Edwin Aguilar, the Atlanta Peaches clipped the San Francisco Pioneers, 7-2, in 10 innings. The Pioneers, at 6-14, have stumbled out of the gate.
Atlanta used the timely hitting of Tony Carrizales to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Peaches on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Carrizales.
