| Twisters Bash Firebirds, 13-2 | The Oklahoma City Twisters powered past the Phoenix Firebirds, 13-2, at Wranglers Ballpark. Gustavo Monreal was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4, to lead the charge. With the win, Oklahoma City upped its record to 13-10.
With Oklahoma City leading 3-0 in the bottom of the third, Monreal came up to bat against Phoenix pitcher Gilbert Babin. Monreal hit a changeup to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Twisters on top, 7-0.
Phoenix manager David Fields called the blowout loss "not what we had in mind."
