| On Road, Philadelphia Drops Montreal, 7-2 | The Montreal Mammoths went down to defeat to Danny Ramirez and his Philadelphia teammates. The final score was 7-2, in favor of the Fury. Ramirez yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-2. Jose Jaramillo picked up his 1st save of the season.
Philadelphia won the game in part because of Antonio Sanchez. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Fury ahead, 2-1. For the game, Sanchez had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Ramirez.
The Fury have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 13 games.
