| Taylor Leads Luchadors to 6-2 Win Over Toltecs | San Diego left fielder Jimmy Taylor played a vital role in his team's 6-2 conquest of Leon. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for San Diego. San Diego pitcher Pat Caniglia earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Rich Luevano suffered the loss. The Luchadors improved to a lofty 24-10.
In the bottom of the first, Taylor had a 3-run home run for San Diego. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Luchadors on top, 3-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Taylor told the San Diego Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
