| Acencio Homers Twice in 7-5 Win | The Oklahoma City Twisters topped the San Diego Luchadors, 7-5, the lion's share of the credit going to designated hitter Carlos Acencio. On the day, Acencio was 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for the Twisters. Oklahoma City reliever Bobby Trejo picked up the win, while Bill Kowalchuk took the loss for San Diego. Chad Strickland sewed up the save, his 12th.
With Oklahoma City trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Acencio hit a fastball from Roberto Ladd for a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Twisters ahead, 3-1.
"I was hoping to make good contact," said Acencio. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
The current losing streak for San Diego has reached 5 games.
