Hodges, who is tied for 9th in the UL in home runs with 9, hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Gabriel Fregoso, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-4. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and no runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The losing skid has reached 6 games for San Diego.
Carlos Acencio, who is tied for 7th in the UL in total bases with 83, took San Diego hurler Mel Cisneros deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Twisters on top, 2-0. In all, Acencio had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
