| Pioneers Earn Late 4-3 Win | San Francisco starter Danny Gephart pitched well against the Leon Toltecs at Pioneers Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 10 innings. San Francisco reliever Robert Medina picked up the win. Al Reyes, who finished 3rd in the UL in saves with 29 in 2042, took the loss for Leon. The victory puts San Francisco at 10-40.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. With San Francisco trailing 3-2, Andres Colon hit a sinker from Al Reyes to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Pioneers had a walk-off win.
"Our guys refused to lose," said Gephart.
