Hollywood pitcher Joe Ward had a large part in his team subduing the San Diego Luchadors, 4-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The United West-leading Hitters have a record of 27-24.

Carlos Cruz, who finished 4th in the UL in home runs with 34 in 2033, helped out the Hollywood cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Ward after the game.
