| Rangers Suffer One-Run Loss at Oklahoma City | Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Oklahoma City Twisters and Houston Rangers.
The Oklahoma City Twisters withstood an impressive performance by Houston right fielder Bob Skolnick to defeat the Rangers, 4-3, at Wranglers Ballpark. Skolnick was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Twisters go to 26-24, putting them last in the United Central.
The Rangers had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Twisters going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old second baseman Eric Sibley came to the plate. Sibley hit a solo home run on a first pitch fastball from Houston hurler Walt Samuels. It was Sibley's 5th home run of the year.
"This was a good win," said Sibley.
