The inspired effort of San Diego designated hitter Aaron Lennartz was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Leon Toltecs. Lennartz was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Josh Neal. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits. The right--hander struck out 10 and walked 1. The Toltecs raised their record to 39-18.

Justin Dean dealt the Luchadors a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Leon leading 4-1, Dean, who finished 5th in the IL in extra base hits with 44 in 2039, hit a 1-2 slider for a run-scoring single.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Dean.
