 | Guatemala College Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Wednesday, May 7th , 2042 The fans in Guatemala College are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Hamilton College. The Guatemala College Spurs finished off the Hamilton College Clowns 9-5 in the deciding game of the Round 1 played at Clowns Ballpark. They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the Round 2. For his standout play, Guatemala College center fielder Luis Hernandez was voted the series' Most Valuable Player. He batted .419, drove in 11 runs and scored 9 to lead his club to victory. "We could never really figure out how to pitch to Hernandez and that doomed us," said Clowns manager . "Hats off to Guatemala College, though. That was a great series." The Guatemala College Spurs will play against the San Miguelito College Thunder Cats in the next round. San Miguelito College won their series against the Columbus College Alligators 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
