| Season Ends for John Wattenbarger of Indianapolis College Saturday, April 22nd , 2045 The doctors have spoken and John Wattenbarger of the Indianapolis College Pump Jacks didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Wattenbarger sustained his season-ending injury during the Hamilton College Clowns game yesterday at Pump Jacks Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Indianapolis College medical staff reported Wattenbarger had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months.
To date this season, Wattenbarger has compiled a 2-4 record with a 6.20 ERA in 10 starts. | | |
