San Francisco Win Evens Series at 3
The San Francisco Pioneers and the Leon Toltecs will take the Conference Championship to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Pioneers beat the Toltecs, 5-2, at Pioneers Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. San Francisco left-hander Travis Welker had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball.

Jesus Hernandez, who finished 3rd in the UL in home runs with 30 in 2035, helped out the San Francisco cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4.

"It was a good effort all around," said Hernandez.

Game 7 is scheduled for Sunday at Toltecs Field.
