| Toltecs Clip Luchadors, 4-3, in DS Contest | San Diego catcher Tony Lopez pounded Leon Toltecs pitchers at Luchadors Field, but it was not enough to keep the Luchadors from falling, 4-3, in Game 3 of the Divisional. Lopez went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, though he couldn't keep the Luchadors from slipping to a 2-1 deficit in the best-of-5 series.
Leon used the timely hitting of Tony Guevara to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Toltecs on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Guevara called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Luchadors Field in San Diego.
