| Ramos, Leon Start World Series Strong with Home Win | The Leon Toltecs started the World Series in style, downing the visiting Tampa Bay Sunrays at Toltecs Field by a score of 7-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Toltecs first baseman Victor Ramos went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2.
Ryan Fager hit a 2-run home run off Benjamin Lecomte in the bottom of the second, which put the Toltecs ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, Fager had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.
"This was a nice win for us," said Fager. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
