| Sunrays Even With Toltecs After Extra-Innings Win | The Tampa Bay Sunrays went the distance and then some at Toltecs Field to drag themselves back into a tie with the Leon Toltecs.
It took 11 innings to settle Game 2 of the World Series, but Tampa Bay eventually took the 3-2 win behind the efforts of pitcher Luis Calderon. Calderon threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball to aid the Tampa Bay cause. The clubs are now tied 1-1 in their best-of-7 series.
Jose Olivas came through with a big-time hit for Tampa Bay. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Both teams played hard," said Tampa Bay manager David Fields.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, August 29th , 2039 at Sunrays Field.
