| Wahl Blasts Toltecs, Pioneers Take Game 3, 6-5 | Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Matt Wahl, the San Francisco Pioneers stopped the visiting Leon Toltecs, 6-5, in Game 3 of the Conference Championship. Wahl went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Pioneers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Eddie Hernandez, the San Francisco left fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, Pioneers. For the game, Hernandez was 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Wahl.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pioneers Park in San Francisco.
