The Leon Toltecs got a great start from 35-year-old right-hander Kareem Brobbey, as Leon took the 4-1 win at Toltecs Field over the series-leading San Francisco Pioneers. Brobbey threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball and helped Leon close their deficit to 3 games to 2 in the best-of-7 series.
Brobbey gave Leon a solid start. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 7 innings.
"We're happy," Brobbey told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
